Travelling across the world to find the perfect beans.

A struck of luck! When starting up my chocolate business to have family friends do the same sort of thing across the world in Indonesia. The biggest difference is they are able to grow and use cocoa beans from their local area.   

Travelling out there with my best friend has been incredibly eye opening, to recognise and understand the nurturing that goes in to the chocolate process before hand. From a new pod growing on a tree, to the finely roasted nibs I was only use to using. 

 

This trip has been fantastic for my own growth as a chocolatier, and now to be able to use my beans from this community building, co-operative, I am completely grateful to call this part of my chocolate history.
